Nicaragua Smith comes back from the dead stronger than before as he pursues his vendetta against Lenzi for her refusal to allow him to use her body to exact revenge for his execution by a Confederate firing squad during the Civil War. Smith has killed Lenzi several times, ending her past lives. This lifetime, he intends to kill her soul as well as her body.
Alden and Lenzi must find a way to stop Smith and his army of ghouls before they are successful in killing Lenzi or do enough damage to expose the secret world of the Intercessor.
